ALAN ALTIS
Alan Altis has been involved in search and rescue since 1989. This led to his career in public safety where he has worked in emergency medical, fire protection and emergency management for nearly 30 years.
As the owner of Patriot Public Safety he is involved in a variety of emergency medical services with a focus on wilderness and arduous environments. As an certified Wilderness EMT he has provided medical care for a wide variety of situations and incidents.
He currently teaches emergency medical, firefighter/ rescue and emergency management courses for Patriot Public Safety, University of Missouri and several government agencies.
His love of radio communications took a hobby of HAM radio and led him to becoming a credentialed Communications Unit Leader & Communications Unit Technician where he routinely responds to disasters and emergencies around the country. He currently manages one of the largest two-way radio communications networks in the country for a non-profit organization that provides search and rescue and disaster response.
